In the Fall semester (September-December, 15 weeks) and in the Spring semester (January-May, 15 weeks) students may elect to undertake a course load of 12 to 17 credits (or four to five classes) chosen from the published class schedules. Applicants are welcome to attend one semester or the entire academic year. Semester Students are not required to enroll in Italian language courses. The distribution of teaching contact hours between in-class instruction and outside activities (field trips, etc.) varies from course to course.
